Richard Ross Bartels

Mr. Bartels attended Florida State University, where he majored in chemical engineering, before moving to Charlottesville for law school. While at UVA, he focused on intellectual property law, corporate law, civil litigation and administrative law. After working as the in-house counsel at a biotech company in Charlottesville, where his focus included contracts, employment law, civil litigation, and state and federal regulatory law, Mr. Bartels moved north to focus his practice on litigation. At Ashwell & Ashwell, Mr. Bartels applies his technology background to all manner of commercial and complex civil matters.
