Madalyn G. Brooks is originally from North Carolina where she attended Campbell University. She graduated summa cum laude and received dual bachelor’s in political science and history before moving to Virginia to attend law school at George Mason University. During law school she was Notes Editor of the Civil Rights Law Journal and in leadership on George Mason’s moot court team. Madalyn previously worked as a Virginia Public Defender where she worked on criminal misdemeanor and felony cases for indigent clients. At Ashwell & Ashwell, she has expanded her areas of expertise to criminal defense, civil litigation, and domestic relations. In her free time, Madalyn enjoys hiking in Shenandoah, horseback riding, and reading.
